Chittenden, VT Mrs. Marie Alice Hebert Samson Marie Alice Hebert Samson 104, formerly of Chittenden and West Springfield, Massachusetts died Monday July 30, 2012 at Rutland Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rutland. She was born January 26, 1908 in Springfield, MA the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Desrosiers) Hebert. Alice was of Catholic faith. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed knitting, embroidering, bird watching and watching the wild life in her back yard. Survivors are her son, Dwight Samson and his wife Gail, of Chittenden, one granddaughter Tanya Lyons and her husband Kenneth of Chicopee, MA, her great-grandchildren, Brittney and Andrew Lyons, of Chicopee, MA, close friends Coreen and Joseph Teer of Middletown Springs, Carmi and Sandy Reed, of Castleton, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Linwood N. Samson who died July 24, 1964, by her grandson, Jeffrey Dwight Samson, by her sister, Pauline Hebert and her two brothers, Leo and Raymond Hebert. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 1, 2012 at 10 AM at the Ducharme Funeral Home Inc., 1939 Main Street, Castleton. Family and friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Paucatuck Cemetery, West Springfield, MA.
