Castleton, VT Alson F. Chadburn Sr. Alson F. Chadburn Sr., 71, passed away Friday evening August 10, 2007 at Mountain View Center Genesis Elder care in Rutland. Alson was born April 23, 1936 in Mount Holly, the son of the late Allen & Thelma (Davenport) Chadburn. He a graduate of Black River High School class of 1955. On October 13, 1956 Alson married Noreen (Washburn) in a double ring ceremony with her late sister Doreen Armstrong. On October 13, 2006 Alson & Noreen celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Alson is survived by his wife, of Castleton, by his two daughters, Susan F. Gilbert, of Golden Gates, FL, and Kim N. Penney, of Wallingford, by his three sons, Alson F. Chadburn Jr., of Shrewsbury, Jon B. Chadburn, of Weatherford, TX, and Michael E. Chadburn, of Rutland, by his 11 grandchildren, his 5 great-grandchildren, by his brother, Harold Chadburn, of Belmont, by his 3 sisters, Joyce Lind, of Rutland, Lois Potter, of Fort Ann, NY and Marion Josselyn, of Ludlow, and several nieces & nephews. There will be no visiting hours A celebration of Alsons life will be held on Saturday August 18, 2007 from 3-5 PM at the Belmont Odd Fellows Hall, in Belmont, VT In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Castleton First Response @ P.O.
