Castleton- Andrew C. Ullrich Jr. Andrew C. Ullrich Jr., 90, died early Monday morning February 20, 2017 at Rutland Regional Medical Center due to complications from a fall. He was born October 15, 1926 in River Edge, NJ the son of Andrew C., Sr. and Alverta (Karchner) Ullrich. Andy enlisted during High School in the United States Navy and served during both WW II and the Korean Conflict. After his 12 years with the Navy, Andy went to work as a postal worker for many years in River Edge NJ, retiring to his dream of living in Vermont in Castleton. He was a Member of Temple Lodge # 173 F & A.M. of Westwood, NJ and more recently was a member of the American Legion Post 50 of Castleton, VT. Survivors are his wife Shirley (Dedrickson) Ullrich, who he married on November 30, 1963; also by his three sons and one daughter; Todd Ullrich and wife Elizabeth, of Oak Ridge, NJ, Kevin Ullrich and wife Kim, of Dumont, NJ., Bruce Ericson and wife Susan, of Fair Haven, NJ, and Sharon Bucci and husband Ralph, of Morristown, NJ; by his grandchildren, David Bucci, Daniel Bucci, Karissa Kudile, Brian Ericson, Jenna Ericson, and Alexandra Ullrich; one great-granddaughter, Kate Bucci. He was predeceased by parents and by his sister Doris Ullrich who died August 17, 2007. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project at P.O.
