Payson, UT Arlene Ruby Jones-Spencer Arlene Ruby Jones-Spencer 85, died Wednesday February 19, 2014 at her home in Payson after a lengthy illness. Born June 13, 1928 in Claremont, NH, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Phebe (Stillson) Strong. She was a graduate of Claremont High School class of 1946. She married Theodore Jones March 16, 1947; he predeceased her on September 16, 1981 Arlene was employed as a housekeeper at the former Beverly Manor Nursing Home and later as a cook at Castleton State College Food Service Department until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints and had served as a missionary at the Washington D.C. Temple from 2002-2004. Arlene was a 4-H leader in the Rutland area and enjoyed raising and showing rabbits, making quilts, embroidering, crocheting and Genealogy. She is survived by her husband Theo Spencer who she married August 4, 2006, by her children, Valerie Ducharme of Castleton, Eslie Butch Jones and wife Debbie of Ferrisburg and Rollin Jones of Poultney; her brother Malcolm Strong of Windsor and sisters, Lucinda Buck of Weathersfield, Margaret Strong of St. Albans, her grandchildren, Donald P. Ducharme Jr., Daniel P. Ducharme, Walter J. Ducharme, Melissa Elizarde, Eslie Jones, Rosiemarie Jones and April Jones; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband Theodore, by her sister Barbara Lacourse Johnson and her brother Raymon Strong. Visitation hours will be held on Sunday February 23, 2014 from 2-4 P.M. at the Ducharme Funeral Home, 1939 Main Street, Castleton. Funeral services will be held on Monday February 24, 2014 at 11 A.M. at the Rutland Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.
