She was born May 17, 1963 in St. Petersburg, FL, the daughter of James and Mary Lou (Sohngen) Soulia.

Barb graduated from Fair Haven Union High School in 1981 and then began a 42-year career at General Electric, graduating from the Apprentice Program in 1985 and then earning her associate and bachelors degrees. She held numerous roles in Quality and Technical Support, ending her career as a Product Engineer. Barb was respected and admired for her knowledge and ability to respond quickly to every and any situation in airfoil fabrication.

Barb enjoyed family dinners, attending live concerts and outings with friends. She loved fishing, especially on Lake Bomoseen. Her love of travel took her to the many places including the Outer Banks, Florida, Caribbean cruises and one special trip to Alaska. But most of all Barb was a loving and devoted mom to her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her son Greg, daughter Lauren, grandchildren, Noah, Elias and Ari, sister Deborah, nephews Brandon and Nathaniel Soulia. Barb also leaves her best friend and caretaker Nancy Messer, and her fur babies Winston and Oreo. She was predeceased by her parents and brother Wayne.

A graveside service will be held on Friday October 6, 2023 at 1 P.M. in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Fair Haven, VT.
