Hudson Falls, NY Mr. Carl F. Knapp
Mr. Carl F. Knapp, 59 died Thursday evening February 8, 2007 at Albany Veterans Hospital in Albany, NY after a long illness.
He was born April 4, 1947 in Glens Falls, NY the son of Harold & Rita (Morse) Knapp.
He married his wife Judith Pockette on July 9, 1966 in Fair Haven, VT
Carl joined the United States Army on August 3, 1966 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
He was a member of the American Legion post # 574, of Hudson Falls, Queensbury V.F.W. Post # 6196 and a life member of the D.A.V.
Carl was employed as a truck driver for Thruway Freight in Glens Falls, NY for several years.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Rita Knapp, of Hudson Falls, Ny, by his son, Mr. C.J. Knapp & his wife Lisa, of Hudson Falls, NY, by his mother-in-law, Mrs. Myrtle Pockette, of Castleton, VT, by his three brothers, Larry Knapp, of Bomoseen, VT, William Knapp, of Comstock, NY, and Louis Knapp, Cameron, NC, also by his two sisters, Betty Taylor, of Interlachen, Fl and Carolyn Carlton, of Whitehall, NY by his granddaughter, Kali Knapp, of Hudson Falls, NY and also by his grandson, Taylor Hill, of Hudson, NY and also by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father and also by his wife Judith who died October 16, 2000.
A memorial service will on Tuesday February 13, 2007 at 11 AM at the Ducharme Funeral Home located at 1939 Main Street, Castleton, VT 05735. The Rev. Marshall Hudson- Knapp pastor of the First Congregational Church in Fair Haven will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at 1650 South Ave, Suite 100 Rochester, NY 14620-3901
