Rutland Charlene Olivia Mortenson Charlene Olivia Mortenson 76, formerly of Pittsford, died Thursday evening November 1, 2018 at Rutland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was born May 29, 1942 in Rutland the daughter of Charles and Elsa (Mulberry) Hill. Charlene worked for 37 years at Hannaford Super Markets as an inventory Specialist. She was a member of the Good Shephard Lutheran Church. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her home was always open for those to stop in and visit. She loved to laugh and enjoyed helping others. Charlene is survived by her daughters, Debra Lynn Corliss (John) of Proctor and Linda Ann Fenton (Kevin) of Bomoseen, by her grandchildren, Heather Lynn Fenton, Tara Olivia Fenton, Amber Corliss and Haley Corliss and by her great- granddaughter Maci Lawner and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and by her brother Alan Hill, by her sister, Janet Furman and her special aunt Helen "Howie" Mulberry who lived with her for years. There will be no services per her wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association Vermont Affiliate at 300 Cornerstone Drive, Williston, VT 05495.
