Deborah Joaquim (WildFire Phillips) (age is timeless) passed away peacefully at home with her family July 3, 2019 beside her youngest son and youngest daughter in Fair Haven Vermont. She was the daughter of Catherine Sarah Weeks and Louis Nolan Phillips. the mother of two daughters April Higney with daughter Sara; and Peggie Sue Rozell with husband Edward and daughter Nikya; and two sons, Emerson Garfield with wife Kathy and children Dominic, Dean and unborn son Sam; and Richard Garfield with wife Beth and grandchildren Megan, Alexis, and R.J. as well as other grandchildren and step grandchildren. She was also the sister of four surviving brothers, Ralph Phillips with wife Darlene, (Tom) Albert Phillips, Richard (Blackhorse) Phillips with wife Cory White, Mike Phillips with wife Barbie, as well as three sisters, and two brothers whom already made their journey to creator. Numerous nieces and nephews, and those married into the family became exactly that. FAMILY. Sister in law Roxie Phillips among many others that she did not see as in laws or steps. She found a beautiful connection to her partner Charles Phillips which joined them in life with a sacred ceremony in 2015. Deborah was regarded as a strong beautiful spirit in her culture (Wampanoag) as well as other tribes bringing all together with heart for many years with her Powwows which she later changed the title to Gatherings to honor the true meaning of her culture respectfully. Her giving nature, and her love and acceptance of all has been held a treasure for many and will continue to be. There are no calling hours or services as a Native American Journeying Ceremony will be arranged by her family.
