Donald A. Cyrul passed away on January 7, 2026, at Rutland Regional Medical Center

surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born in Meriden, CT in 1967.

Don graduated from Wilcox Technical School in 1986 from the Machine Shop class. He

and his family relocated to Vermont in the early 1990s where Don furthered his career

as a machinist. He was employed by Williams Machine of Poultney as a foreman before

venturing off on his own. Don started his own business, D&H Fabricating, in Poultney

which he ran successfully for several years. Don enjoyed fishing in both fresh and

saltwater as well as ice fishing. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, boating, Mud

bogging and RC trucks. He was also an avid animal lover and found much joy in

rescuing cats, chickens and other wild animals.

He is survived by his sons Brad and Kyle, sister Susan, brother Robert, brother- in- law

Junior, sister- in- law Avis, daughter- in- law Kayla, and his nieces and nephews. He

was predeceased by his parents Robert and Elsa Cyrul, his sister Laura Collins, and his

partner in later years Darcy.

Calling hours will be held on January 23, 2026 from 4pm to 6pm at the Ducharme

Funeral Home at 1939 Main St. Castleton, VT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made

to the Rutland County Humane Society.
