Castleton, VT Donald Paul Ducharme Sr.
Donald Paul Ducharme Sr. 63, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday evening
September 2, 2007 after a brief illness with his family at his side.
He was born June 25, 1944 in Springfield, VT the son of the late Cecil & Dorothy (Noe) Ducharme. He was a graduate of Fair Haven Union High School class of 1962.
After high school he entered the United States Army.
He was the owner of the Player Piano Service and Green Mountain Appliance & TV Company in Castleton for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, woodworking and spending time surfing the internet and EBAY. He also had a love for photography.
Don is survived by his wife Valerie (Jones) Ducharme who he married February 25, 1967 in Bomoseen. By his three sons, Donald Paul Ducharme Jr. & his wife Kara, Daniel Paul Ducharme & his wife Heather, and Walter Jay Ducharme & his wife Amy, all of Castleton, by his granddaughter Cassandra, by his three grandsons, Tyler, Dwight and Jackson. Also by his sister, Maryann Jakubowski, of Castleton, and by his two nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Friday September 7, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Ducharme Funeral Home, in Castleton, Thomas Sawyer Branch President of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints will Officiate.
Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Castleton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Oncology Department at Rutland Regional Medical Center, in care of the Funeral Home, P.O. Box 474 Castleton, VT 05735.
