Castleton, VT Dorothy E. Tyll Dorothy E. (Booker) Tyll, 83, died Thursday evening July 26, 2007 at Rutland Regional Medical Center. She was born February 3, 1924 in New York, New York, the daughter of O.D.& Mae (Rogers) Booker. Dorothy was born in New York, lived in Lynn, Ma, before moving to Castleton, VT 18 years ago and for the past 12 years has assisted her daughter Diane, in the operations of Tylls Toddlers, where she was loved by all the children she cared for. She was the widow of the late John E. Tyll who was the former sergeant at arms at the Shoe Maker Post # 345, in Lynn, MA. Dorothy was a Member of the American Legion Post # 50 Castleton American Legion Ladies Auxilary. She is survived by her daughter, Diane E. Tyll, of Castleton, her grandson, Joseph Tyll, of Canada, her sisters, Myrtle Booker, of Hydeville, and Madeline Loro & her husband Reno, of Brookline, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday August 4, 2007 at 10 AM at St. Johns the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Castleton. The Rev. Charles Rick Danielson parish priest will officiate. A reception will follow the service at the Fair Haven American Legion.
