West Rutland- Edgar M. Ridlon Jr. Edgar M. Ridlon Jr. 84, died Friday February 24, 2017 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born November 15, 1932 in Rutland the son of Edgar M. Sr., and Edna (Bussino) Ridlon. Edgar enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He married Nancy Spencer on April 11, 1968. Edgar worked for many years driving tractor trailer for H.A. Eddy Oil Company, J.P. Noonan and most recently, Creed Ice Company. He was a member and past Master of Hiram Lodge # 101 F & A.M. of West Rutland, The Cairo Shriners and past President of the Camel Corps Unit., The West Rutland American Legion, Marble City Riders and R.A.V.E. He was a former Member of the Gilman Chapter # 88 O.E.S., Green Mountain Snow Flyers and past Director of VAST in Rutland County. Edgar enjoyed driving tractor trailer, Motorcycle rides, camping, NASCAR and tractors. He is survived by his wife Nancy Ridlon, of West Rutland, by his children, Linda Marie Gallipo and husband Larry of Rutland, Lisa Michelle Fredette of Rutland, Priscilla Ann Hughes and husband Larry of Fair Haven. By his step son, David Zawistowski and wife Cheryl of West Rutland , step daughter Susan Traegde and husband Troy of Enfield, N. H. , by his brothers, Alan G. Ridlon and wife Ann of Cuttingsville and John H. Ridlon and wife Peg of McKinleyville, CA, by his sister Barbara L. Reilly and husband Jim of Bowie, MD, by his eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and an infant son Scott Ridlon. There will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rutland County Humane Society 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763.
