Obituary

Elizabeth Kinney of Castleton Meadows Vermont was called home by the good Lord on December 1, 2017. Born May 9th, 1933 to Ernest and Hazel Belden of Benson Vermont, she was brought up on the Belden Dairy Farm with her seven sisters and one brother. Elizabeth was a strong sweet lady who lived with grace and forgiveness for all. She was known as both Liz and Betty. Elizabeth married Wilson R. Kinney on June 29th, 1952. She was a devoted mother to her children. With Love and Wisdom she passed on her Faith to her children Michael, Linda, Sheila and Stephen, all of whom attended Whitehall, New York Schools. Betty was employed by Yankowitz in Hudson Falls, NY and the Troy Shirt factory before retiring due to health issues. Betty loved the simple things in life and cherished singing and playing hymns on her organ for anyone who would listen. She attended church in Castleton Vermont and was an avid bingo player in her later years. Liz was predeceased by her parents and her husband Wilson of 48 years. She lost her eldest daughter Linda in 2012. Two sisters, Dorothy Perkins of Benson, VT and Helen McPhee of Whitehall, NY along with her brother Harold Belden of both Benson, Vt and Hudson Falls, NY. Survivors include her daughter Sheila (Fred) Fish of Hudson Falls, NY and two sons Michael (Sherry) Kinney of Raleigh, NC and Stephen (Kim) of Queensbury, NY. Grandchildren Tauna Perry Hollenbeck, Wesley Perry, Shawn Mullholland, Jodi Eddy, Bradley Kinney, Jeff Kinney and Stephanie Kinney Lamphere and her many great grandchildren. Her sisters Florence Haynes of Rutland, VT., Barbara White of Fair Haven, VT., Mary Massee and Ruth Belden of Hudson Falls, NY. Visiting hours will be held on Monday December 4, 2017 from 4-6 P.M. at the Ducharme Funeral Home Inc., located at 1939 Main Street, Castleton, VT 05735. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 5, 2017 at 11 A.M. at the Ducharme Funeral Home. John Longaker pastor of the Fellowship Bible Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at P.O.
