Eugene "Rick" Hunt, III passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 44 after a long illness. He was born June 5, 1981, in Bennington VT to Debbie Roderigue and Eugene "Rick" Hunt, Jr. He went to Mill River Union High School before deciding school wasn't for him and instead went to work in a variety of trades before finding his calling.

Rick had a laugh and a smile that just drew you in. He was the kind of guy who would help anyone out if he was able. Rick enjoyed fishing and camping, and pretty much anything that involved the use of tools. He loved his career, a field he excelled in for over 20 years; linework ran through his veins and he was one of the best around. He also greatly valued time spent with family.

Rick leaves behind his mother and stepfather, Debbie and Wilbur Frederick; nieces, Jocelyn Brisson and Aubriana Hunt; nephews, Tressan and Camedon Berger; daughter, Julia Hunt, and Julia's mother, Kristin, and sister Kaelyn Guitar; and his brother-in-law, Scott Berger. Rick is also survived by his longtime partner and love, Lindsay Perry, and their dog Cooper whom he adored. He has also left behind many uncles, aunts, cousins, and others he called family. He was predeceased by his father, Rick Hunt, and sister, Heather Hunt.

Burial services and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
