Rutland George H. Crochetiere 50, died Thursday August 13, 2015 at Rutland Regional Medical center. Born March 19, 1965 in San Diego, CA the son of Robert and Dolores (Manning) Crochetiere. He was a graduate of Mill River Union High School class of 1985. George loved gardening and the outdoors. He was employed by Labare Landscaping for many years. George also had a great sense of community and volunteered at the Dismas House and the Open Door Mission. He enjoyed bike riding, cross country skiing, fishing, watching football and NASCAR. Survivors are his siblings, Robert Crochetiere of Keene, NH, Barbara Crochetiere of Westminster, CO, Lisa Williams of Rutland, Julie Crochetiere of Fair Haven and Tina Kitchin of Poultney, also by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Peter Crochetiere and Celeste Crochetiere. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday August 20, 2015 from 4-5 P.M., and sharing memories and reflections will be from 5-6 P.M., at the Ducharme Funeral Home Inc., located at 1939 Main Street, Castleton, VT.
