Georgia Anna Wetherby of Lexington, South Carolina died peacefully Monday February 22, 2010 at the home of her son in Rutland, Vt. after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born September 7, 1930 in Panton, Vt. the youngest daughter of Robert H. and Bessie (Stagg) Sprague. She was a graduate of Middlebury high school and attended Castleton State College.
She worked in the propane industry and property management for her entire working career and enjoyed gardening, traveling and being with her family.
She is survived by one sister, Alberta Jackson of Panton, Vt., daughters Betty Trombley and companion Richard Cyr of Claremont, NH., Marlene Ricci and husband Tony of Lexington, So. Carolina, Joan Poczobut and husband Jeff of Rutland. Sons Randy Pinkham of Holyoke, Mass., Scott Pinkham of Rutland, Vt. and John Wetherby of No. Carolina, 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husbands William L. Pinkham in 1976 and Francis E. Wetherby in 2002, a son Michael S. Pinkham, and her sisters Barbara Moulton and Marilyn Smith.
At her request there will be no services or calling hours but a gathering of family and friends will be held in the spring.
