Castleton, VT James P. McNamara James P. McNamara, 78, died Saturday July 24, 2010 at his residence. He was born July 16, 1932 in West Rutland the son of Edward & Florence (Reynolds) McNamara. James was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army stationed in Germany. He was employed by Eden Park Nursing home in Rutland in the Maintenance Department. Jim was an avid hunter, fisherman; he enjoyed reading and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Janice (Wood) McNamara, who he married February 18, 1956 in St. Bridgets Catholic Church in West Rutland. Also by his son, Michael J. McNamara, of Center Rutland, by his daughters, Lynn M. Bartenstein, of Rutland and Kelly G. Grindem of Richardson, TX, by his sisters, Jane Ellis, of Fairhaven, Shirley Harrison, of Granville, NY, Margaret McNamara, of Barre and Catherine Cavacas, of New Hampshire. Also by his four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Per James wishes there will be no funeral services. Private services will be held at the convenience of his family.
