Benson, VT John A. Jack Drake Jr. Mr. John A. Jack Drake Jr. 63, died Tuesday evening April 13, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was born August 8, 1946 in Bridgeport, CT the son of the late John A. & Norma (Crowther) Drake Sr. Jack is survived by his wife Diane (Fischer) Drake who he married August 16, 1975 in Connecticut. Also survived by his three children, Joseph Drake & his wife Bridget, of Nottingham, NH, Jason Drake & his wife Amy, Of Bozeman, MT and Jessica Drake, of Benson, by his sister, Janice Basil & her husband Jerry, of Old Saybrook, CT, by his grandchildren, Jon Thomas Drake, Samuel Joseph Drake, Abigail Drake and Jasper Kingsley. Also by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was a member of Union Lodge # 2 F. & A.M., of Salisbury formerly of Middlebury, Cairo Temple, of Rutland, the Middlebury Lions Club and was past president of the Bridgeport, Ct, Jaycees. He was an avid hunter, Civil War Historian, a good friend and loved to visit with friends and family. A fraternal service will be held on Saturday April 17, 2010 at 2 P.M. at the Bridport Masonic Hall with visiting hours from 1 P.M. to the time of the service. Burial will follow in Weybridge Cemetery.
