JOHN HATCH III Poultney-John F. Hatch, III, 69, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Haven Healthcare, Rutland. Born in New York, New York January 17, 1938, he was the son of John F., Jr.and Marion (Hartshorn) Hatch. John was a graduate of Poultney High School, class of 1957. He subsequently joined the United States Navy, serving a four year enlistment. He was employed by Dictaphone Inc., (now Pitney-Bowes) for 39 years at Pitney-Bowes in Conn. He returned to Poultney in 2006. John was an avid golfer and enjoyed all sports including NASCAR. Family members include two brothers, Alan Hatch and his wife Linda of Wisconsin, and Douglas Hatch of Poultney; a niece, Erica and her husband T.J. Coloutti of Poultney. Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 4-6 PM Saturday at the Ducharme Funeral Home, 1939 Main St., Castleton. There will be no funeral service. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Poultney American Legion, Post 39, 689 Granville St., Poultney, VT 05764. Arrangements are under the direction of Ducharme Funeral Home, Castleton.
