John J. Kinirons Jr. March 18, 2008 MIDDLETOWN SPRINGS Mr. John Joseph Kinirons Jr., 75, died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Rutland Regional Medical Center. He was born December 22, 1932, in Bronx, N.Y., the son of the late John J. and Ruth (Robson) Kinirons. He was a graduate of a Bronx (N.Y.) high school. John worked as a plumber for many years with the Local Union #1. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman and made it his passion. He taught his children and grandchildren how to fish. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed rooting for the New York Mets, New York Giants and New York Rangers. He is survived by his three daughters, Susan Rosso and her husband Philip, Patricia Kinirons, all of Middletown Springs, and Kathy Kinirons of Wallingford; also by his sisters, Ruth Cristantiello and her husband Cris, Eileen Harrold, Joan Murphy and her husband Joe, and his brother, Edward Kinirons, all of Yonkers, N.Y.; and by his five grandchildren, Joseph Bongiovanni of Chittenden, Michael Bongiovanni of Rutland and Kelly Bongiovanni, P.J. Rosso, Nick Rosso, all of Middletown Springs; by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna (Towler) Kinirons, who died February 29, 1996; his son, John J. Kinirons III, who died June 1, 1995; and also by his brother-in-law, Eugene Harrold, who died in 2007. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ducharme Funeral Home in Castleton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Ducharme Funeral Home located at 1939 Main Street, Castleton. The Rev Skip Baltz will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Rutland Regional Medical Center at 160 Allen St., Rutland, VT 05701.
