Castleton, VT John Joseph Miller Mr. John Joseph Miller 86, died Saturday morning December 12, 2009 at Mountain View Center Genesis Health Care in Rutland after a brief illness. He was born September 12, 1923 in New York, New York, son of the late Charles & Anna (Rudloff) Miller. John was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II. He received the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. John was a member of St. Johns The Baptist Roman Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, boater and skier. He is survived by his wife Marie (Schmitt) Miller who he married May 29, 1949 at St. Marys Catholic Church in West New York, NJ. , by his two Children, Kenneth Miller & his wife Jane, of Florence and Patricia Gardner & her husband Robert, of Littleton, CO, by his brother, George Miller, of Mohave, AZ, by his sister, Dorothy Miller, of Castleton, and his five grandchildren, and three great-granchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Charles Miller and sisters Catherine Heublien, Helen Kulhawy and Alice Panio. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 15, 2009 at 1 PM at St. Johns The Baptist Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Henry Furman Parish Priest will officiate. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday December 15, 2009 from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the Ducharme Funeral Home Inc. Located at 1939 Main Street Castleton, VT. 05735.
