RUTLAND-John F. Jack Tobin, Jr., 63, most recently a resident of Campbell Rd., and formerly a longtime resident of Fair Haven and Poultney, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at Rutland Regional Medical Center following an illness with Lung Cancer & Multiple Sclerosis.
Born in Rutland May 24, 1944, he was the son of the late John F. and Lucille (Andrews) Tobin, Sr.
Jack worked for the Proctor Trust Co. and was President of the Vermont National Bank of Fair Haven. He also had worked with Russell Construction Group of Rutland, and was a realtor for Century 21 of Castleton.
He was a former member of Fair Haven Rotary Club and was a proud and dedicated member of A.A..
Jack enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, as well as playing poker, cribbage, hunting and camping.
Family members include two daughters, Jennifer L. Kourt and her husband Brent of Fort Gibson, OK and Elisa Tobin Kearney and her husband Joseph of Rutland; two sisters, Gail T. Williams and her husband Donald of Poultney and Connie A. MacIntosh and her husband Bob of Derry, NH; three grandchildren, Ean J. Kearney and Elaina K. Kearney, both of Rutland and Garon J. Kourt of Ft. Gibson, OK; several nieces & Nephews; and close friend Jean Sherman.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister, M. Judy Arthur.
At Jacks request there will be no services, Cremation will take place at Green Mountain Crematory, Middlebury.
