Bomoseen- Joyce M. Rogers 69, died Wednesday evening July 6, 2016 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
She was born February 17, 1947 in Rutland the daughter of Stanley and Beverly (Stevens) Aines.
Joyce was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph class of 1965. She married Warren G. Butch Rogers on June 20, 1967 in Claremont, NH.
Joyce loved watching sports and was an avid N.A.S.C.A.R. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Fan. She also enjoyed professional bull riding, puzzle books, going to casinos, playing bingo and spending time with her beloved granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband Butch Rogers of Bomoseen, her two children Penny Billado and husband Bryon of Castleton and Tim Rogers and wife Dainyell of Poultney, by her two sisters, Irene Haynes and husband Kent of the Villages of Florida and Cindy Stanton of Portland, OR, by her three granddaughters, Emily C. Billado of Castleton, Jiy-Taylor Rogers and Jazzlyn Rogers both of Poultney, by her mother-in-law Shirley Rogers of Bomoseen and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents and her brother Freeman Aines and sister Barbara Ghio.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday July 10, 2016 from 3-5 P.M. at the Ducharme Funeral Home Inc., located at 1939 main street, Castleton.
Funeral services will be held on Monday July 11, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. The Rev. Holly Noble will officiate.
Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Castleton.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Special Olympics of Vermont Castleton Program in care of Debbie Wortman, 29 Ronaldo Court, Rutland, Vt 05701.
