Obituary

Bomoseen, VT Marguerite C. Taylor Marguerite C. (Peg) Taylor, 85, died Thursday, January 26, 2006 following a short illness. She was born April 16, 1920, in Rutland, Vermont the daughter of the late James Morrison & Marguerite (Mercier) Colomb. While she was a youngster, her family moved to Syracuse, New York, where she lived for 20 years attending St. Lucys Academy and working at General Electric. She married Donald L. Taylor in 1947 who died September 4, 1994. Mrs. Taylor was a communicant of St. Johns the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Castleton, where she served as Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Secretary of the Parish Council for nine years, a member of the Alter Society, acting as Treasurer for three years, and a Religious Education Teacher. She was also involved in many other aspects at the parish. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 50 and a member of the eight and Forty, Salon # 157. She is survived by her son, Donald (Cody) Taylor, of South Woodstock, her two daughters, Marguerite M. Taylor, Of Wasilla, Alaska, and Geraldine E. Taylor, of Rutland. By her two brothers, Thomas A. Colomb, of Lakewood, New Mexico, and Francis D. Colomb, of Lawton, Oklahoma, her two sisters, Geraldine McNally, of Bomoseen, and Joan LaShomb, of Minoa, New York, her four grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and three brothers, Raymond Colomb, in 1986, Dolphise A. Colomb, in 1998 and James Morrison Colomob Jr. in 2005. There will be no calling hours per her wishes; her body was donated for anatomical research. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 11 AM at St. Johns the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Castleton, the Rev. Charles Danielson, Parish Priest will officiate. Memorial Contributions, in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Johns Church or the charity of your choice.
