DUCHARME FUNERAL HOME 1939 Main St. Castleton, VT 05735 CASTLETON-Martha A. Patten, 63, of Main St., died Monday, February 12, 2006 at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Born August 14, 1943 in Newport, NH, she was the daughter of the late Olaf J. and Ruth (Porter) Jokinen. Martha was a graduate of Newport High School, Newport, NH and had worked in retail sales. In addition to enjoying her family and cats, she was an avid gardener and always lived life to its fullest. Family members include her stepson and his wife, Mark and Tina Hayward of Unity, NH; three brothers, Jerry Jokinen and his partner, Sharon of Castleton and John Jokinen and his wife Carol and their son Tyler of Springfield, VT, Edward DeMund and his wife Jennie of Lakewood, CA; one sister Mary Camp of Ithica, NY; grandchildren, Candy and Katie Hayward of Unity, NH; numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Patten in 1998 and by a friend, George Hosmer and by a brother George DeMund.. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 AM Saturday February 17, 2007 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Sunapee St., Newport, NH with Richard Wallace officiating.
