Michael John Nachaczewski of Castleton, VT passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 08/05/2024 at Rutland Regional Medical Center Hospice Care Room.

He was born 09/23/1948 in Astoria, NY, son of late Joseph John and Winifred (Harrison) Nachaczewski. He joined the U.S. Navy and served as a Radioman from 1967-1971. He then began a career working in Telecommunications, eventually moving his family to Vermont from New York in 1986 to enjoy clean country living.

Mike is survived by wife of 53 years Evi Nachaczewski, Son & Daughter-in-law Joseph & Michelle Nachaczewski;  Grandson, Joey Nachaczewski; Three Sisters Sue Rohdieck, Ruth Pittello, and Joanne Blaha. As well as many Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

He loved Traveling and going on Cruises, Fishing, Hunting, Bowling, playing cards on Tuesday nights with his friends, doing home projects on the house, hanging out with his best friend Steve Lewis, and watching Grandson Joey at baseball games and participating in his life. Mike was on the Rutland Bowling league for many years and was treasurer and coordinated awards.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Rutland Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care during this difficult time, and making his time spent there as comfortable as possible. Thank you.

To honor Mike's wishes, there will be no Memorial Services. He had requested cremation and his ashes spread in locations special to him. Thank you for your love and support during this time.
