Obituary

Bomoseen, VT Norman Spear Moore Norman Spear Moore 84, died Friday evening April 27, 2012 after a long illness surrounded by his loving family. Born June 8, 1927 in Burlington he was the son of Lora Preston and A.H. Brown. Norman attended schools in Burlington and Rutland area. He was a United States Army Veteran of WW II serving in Germany in 1945. Norm work for thirty-seven years at Howe Richardson Scale Company in Rutland and later worked at Hobart Service in Rutland retiring after ten years of service. Norm Loved Camping all along the east coast but most of all Florida, he enjoyed boating, fishing, snowmobiling, gardening which he loved roses and peach trees. He enjoyed working in his shop when he was able and he also built his home in 1956. Norm also was an avid N.A.S.C.A.R. fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia (Roucoulet) Moore, of Bomoseen, also by his children, Norman W. Moore and his wife Susan, of Ashaway, RI, Dan Moore and his wife Janet, of Snowhomish, WA, Darlene LaFond and her husband John, of Bomoseen and Donna Smith, of Bomoseen, by his nine grandchildren, Melissa Denton and her husband Steve, Dawn Franco and her husband Anthony, Andrea Sadowski, and her husband Steve, Aaron Smith and his wife Laura, Lacey Smith, Jason LaFond and his wife Janine, Justin LaFond, Lindsey Judd and her husband Daniel and Daniel Moore. By his eight great-grandchildren, Kelsey Denton, Garrett Denton, Dominic Franco, Nicholas Franco, Colby Sadowski, Brady Sadowski, Annabell Judd and Jake LaFond, by his two sisters, Shirley Dole, of North Carolina and Helene Persuette, of Ayer, M.A., also by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also by his pal Minea the cat. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Donald and Harriet. Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 4, 2012 at 1 P.M. at the Ducharme Funeral Home, located at 1939 Main Street, Castleton. The Rev. Henry Furman, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Castleton. Friends may call on Thursday May 3, 2012 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
