Robert Curtiss Hampton 67, died Sunday September 27, 2026 at his residence after a long illness.

He was born December 2, 1958 in Chicago, IL the son of Clifford and Avis (Drown) Hampton.

Robert was a computer programmer for Giancola Construction and the Vermont Country Store prior to being disabled.

He enjoyed drawing, reading comic books, computer work, mowing the lawn and playing with his grandchildren who were his pride and joy.

Survivors are his former wife Linda Hampton who was his best friend and caregiver, by his children, Sarah Hampton, of Poultney, Kari Niland (Brian), of North Berwick, ME, and Matthew Hampton, of North Clarendon, by his siblings, Avis Rivard (Roger), of Cumberland, RI, and Oren Hampton, of Pahrump, NV. By his grandchildren, Lily Hampton, Tori Wesnefski, Quinn Niland, Elijah Hampton, and Maverick Niland. Also by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Alden Hampton, and a special nephew Tim.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 2, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ducharme Funeral Home, located at 1939 Main Street, Castleton.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your Local Food Pantry or Homeless Shelter.
