Castleton Robert Henry Traverse 64, died Monday morning June 8, 2015 at his home in Castleton after a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 16, 1951 in Rutland, Vt the son of Robert T. and Irene (Baker) Traverse. Robert was a graduate of Fair Haven Union High School class of 1970. Robert Married Frances Cull on April, 16, 2005. He enjoyed hunting trips to Maine, fishing, farming and being a foster parent. Survivors are his wife Frances Traverse, Step Daughters, Diane Sullivan, Kim Senecal and Kelly Waterhouse, Mother, Irene Traverse, siblings, Sandy Davis, Marty Traverse, Glen Traverse, Russ Traverse, Sue Moore, Larry Traverse, Brian Traverse, Peter Traverse, George Traverse, Tim Traverse and Tom Traverse. Also by Numerous nieces and nephews and numerous foster children. There will be no Public Funeral Services or Visiting hours. Graveside service will take place on July 14, 2015 at 5 P.M. in the family cemetery on Birdseye Road.
