Mt. Tabor, VT Mrs. Ruth Marie Naumann Dies at age 104 Ruth Marie Naumann, 104, formerly of Denver, Colorado died early Saturday morning July 26, 2008 at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a mild heart attack followed by aspiration pneumonia. Born April 18, 1904 near Buda, Buffalo County Nebraska, the daughter of Charles E. & Lydia (Peterson) Nelson, of Sweden. Ruth was a retired schoolteacher presiding over a one-room schoolhouse in Elwood, Nebraska for 20 years. She moved to Vermont at the age of 87 after being predeceased by her husband William S. Naumann, to be near her daughter. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Adele R. Eichel, of Mt. Tabor, VT her two grandchildren, James Eichel, of Oakland, California and Dana Eichel, of Pawlet, VT, and by her two great-grandsons, Benjamin & Nathan Eichel, of Oakland, California. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado at a later Date. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Ducharme Funeral Home in Castleton.
