IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott Campbell
Perry
December 11, 1959 – August 9, 2024
Scott C. Perry HYDEVILLE – Scott Campbell Perry, 64, passed away August 9, 2024 at RRMC following a long period of declining health. Scott was born in Burlington, VT on December 11, 1959 to William and Anne (St. Coeur) Perry. After graduation from Stowe High School in 1978, Scott went to work in Florida on the research vessels Cape and Cove operated by the Applied Physics Laboratory of Johns Hopkins University. He worked his way up from deck hand to Engineer before he returned to Vermont in 1984 where he settled in Hydeville and began a long career in the local construction industry. Scott was known as a hard worker and someone who took time to make sure things were done the right way. He played equally as hard and enjoyed operating anything with a motor, particularly snowmobiles and motorcycles – the faster, the better. Among his favorite memories was driving a race car at the Kyle Petty Driving Experience at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Like his mother, Scott could make friends with anyone, anywhere, and was never at a loss for something to say. Survivors include his wife and companion of 45 years, Suzanne Perry; his sister Susan Perry and her daughter Zoey of Rockland, ME; his step-mother Sudzy Perry of Edenton, NC; and his step-father Howard Reeves and his family of Orlando, FL and East Lansing, MI. He was predeceased by his father, William E. Perry of Edenton, NC and his mother Anne S. Reeves of Daytona Beach Shores, FL. Per Scott's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
