Hubbardton, VT Theodore L. Ballard Theodore Teddy Ballard 77, died Tuesday evening June 28, 2011 at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a long illness. He was born October 9, 1933 in Hubbardton, the son of the late Barney & Elizabeth (Burke) Ballard. Ted lived his whole life in Hubbardton and work for the Howe-Richardson Scale Company in Rutland for many years, in his later years he was active with farming on his property. He was a member of St. Johns The Baptist Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed farming, blue grass festivals, hunting and visiting with friends. He is survived by his Brother, Gerald Ballard & his wife Joan, of Rutland, by his sisters, Louise Penders, of Vergennes and Marion Woodbury, of Castleton and also by several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Barney D. Ballard Jr. Funeral services will be held on Friday July 1, 2011 at 1 P.M. at the Ducharme Funeral Home 1939 Main Street Castleton. The Rev. Henry Furman Pastor of St. Johns the Baptist Roman Catholic Church will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Marys cemetery in Fair Haven. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Ducharme Funeral Home to assist with funeral arrangements.
